In August, a single meme took over the timeline: a smug grin and black-and-white Impact text reading "NIGGA / IT'S OVER."
By late October it had spread. It ran on a fake Jackson Hole Fed speech on FOMC day, on Beijing as China's AI stocks fell 40%, and on the White House. In the replies, the community named it: N I O.
Then it stopped being a joke. On Oct 29, 2026, about an hour after "Remember… it's over" went viral, Binance's hot wallets were drained of about $6.3B, the largest crypto hack ever. Tether and Circle froze billions. CZ: "It does look like a hack." More than $1.3B in longs were liquidated, BTC fell below $77K, silver crashed below $50, and gold hit a one-year low.
$NIO is the official coin of that feeling: staring at an all-red heatmap and accepting that it's over. No roadmap, no promises, no utility. Just the face.
